Diversity at work
At Bolton Clarke, diversity in all of its forms is respected and celebrated.
Our society is more diverse than ever. Almost one third of older Australians were born overseas and one in five are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. There are more than 650,000 older people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Almost 15,000 older Australians experience homelessness and one in 10 Australians over 65 lives with cognitive impairment or dementia.
Our approach to inclusive and responsive services that support individuals makes a real difference to the lives of many people in our care.
Our Digital Diversity Stories are used as part of our Diversity Framework 2017-2025 to help our teams identify, understand and respond to diversity to support the individual needs of clients.
Each story has a specific focus but also presents the multiple diversity characteristics and holistic needs of each client/resident.
