Bringing the EKKA to resident’s backyard

The best of the EKKA came to Bolton Clarke Inverpine residents this week, with community locals not needing to travel far to have the traditional show experience!

With interactive activities rivalling the best the Queensland Agricultural Show has to offer, residents got to watch the Henny Penny Hatchlings in motion and enjoyed a visit from farm animals.

They also enjoyed getting their bodies moving, participating in Tai Chi dancing and teaching the staff some moves!

For a taste of EKKA-style entertainment, the Inverpine residents didn’t miss a beat with Ken Atkinson taking the stage to perform country themed songs.

The community even had their own ‘showbags’ on offer, and topped off the day with some much-needed sustenance - Inverpine’s finest show food which included chicken burgers, dagwood dogs, potato gems and strawberry sundaes.

Inverpine’s Lifestyle Coordinator Rekha Singh says this is one of the resident’s favourite activity days of the year.

“It was so beautiful to get out in the sunshine and enjoy the activities,” she said.

“A great day was had by all!”
