Inverpine residents make a splash with village upgrades

The cooler weather didn’t stop Bolton Clarke Inverpine retirement village residents dipping their toes into their newly refurbished pool and barbeque area this week.

The refreshed space off the village community hall has given residents a new area to plan for social gatherings and host visitors year-round.

Resident Joanne was the first to test the water at the grand opening and says after two years living at Inverpine, it is a fantastic addition for residents.

“It has completely transformed the space and the area around the pool feels so spacious now!” Joanne said.

“We can’t wait to start using the pool, and the fact that it’s big enough to do laps in now is useful.

“I’m part of the Social Committee and we have started planning regular barbeques and pool parties for the summer - it’s going to be perfect!”

Village Manager Solie says residents’ calendars are already full with regular games of billiards, morning teas and visits to their next-door neighbours at Undurba State School, so the addition of the new pool area has been warmly welcomed.

“It’s great to now have an enjoyable outdoor space for residents and we are eager to start regular hydrotherapy and aqua aerobics sessions,” Solie said.

“There used to be a pool, but it was rarely used so this upgrade has given residents an option that better fits their needs and a fresh space to enjoy year-round.”

Renovations across Bolton Clarke retirement villages are set to continue with Milford Grange in Ipswich eagerly awaiting the completion of their new pool in coming weeks.
