What does nursing care cost under Support at Home?
As a not-for-profit provider o competitively priced nursing services are based on hourly rates and includes all associated costs such as travel and administration. We’ll explain everything clearly before you start, so you know exactly what to expect.
How do contribution rates work?
Your contribution rate is determined by the Services Australia. It is based on the type of service you wish to receive, your pension status as well as your income and asset assessment. You will need to pay contributions at your assessed rate for any services received in the Everyday Living and Independence categories.
You do not need to pay any contribution towards services received from the Clinical category.
Do you charge administration fees for assistive technology?
Yes. To ensure a smooth and coordinated experience, we charge an administration fee for activities such as liaising with suppliers, purchasing products, and arranging their delivery. This fee is 10% of the total cost of the item (or item bundle), capped at $500 (whichever is lower) and is specifically for purchases made under the AT-HM Scheme.
Do you charge coordination fees for home modifications?
Yes. Our expert team members coordinate home modification activities, including contractor invoicing and arranging local government approvals. This fee is 15% of the total quoted home modification costs capped at $1,500 (whichever is lower) and applies to HM items/services only.
Why are some prices for expenses and services not available on your price list?
We omit prices for highly variable expenses and services from our price list. This includes expenses for nursing consumables, home maintenance and meal delivery. It also includes services like acupuncture where the price may vary widely depending on where you live.
The prices you pay for these expenses and services are variable, depending on your specific needs. You pay for these expenses and services at market rates. We add overheads to most expense related services to assist us with invoice coordination and processing.
We report on any variation in service prices every 2 months in table on the prices our clients commonly pay.
How much do you charge for taxi vouchers?
Taxi or rideshare services prices will vary depending on where you are, how many drivers are available and the time of day.
You pay the actual price for your trip at the time of travel using a service voucher provided by us, no separate administrative loading applies. As a result, we cannot give one standard price for all indirect transport services because prices vary.
