Glasshouse Views marks 20 years of care

For two decades, Bolton Clarke Glasshouse Views has provided a place residents are proud to call home.

The aged care home marked its 20th anniversary on 9 June with a special celebration alongside the Glasshouse Mountains community.

Since opening its doors in 2006, Glasshouse Views has become an integral part of the local community, supporting residents and their families with compassionate care.

“We are one big family here and there is always such a friendly and genuine atmosphere,” resident Jill said.

“I moved here because it’s close to my daughter, and since then I’ve made good friends and always feel well looked after.”

The anniversary event saw residents, families and members of the wider community come together for a morning of festivities featuring a petting zoo, a sausage sizzle and a Beatles tribute performance.

Lifestyle Coordinator Michelle, who joined the team in February 2024, said the milestone is testament to the home’s deep commitment to care.

“Growing up in Glasshouse Mountains, I’ve always heard wonderful things about this home,” Michelle said.

“Being part of this celebration allows me to help create special memories, recognise the dedication of those who have been part of the journey and bring our community together to celebrate this important milestone.”

Michelle says residents were the heart of planning the event.

“Our residents are amazing - they’re always willing to participate, help with activities and support each other. Their involvement makes my job incredibly rewarding,” she said.

“Celebrating 20 years is a significant milestone that reflects two decades of compassionate care, dedication and community spirit.

“It’s a time to honour the residents, families, staff, volunteers and supporters who have helped make our home such a welcoming place.”
