Bolton Clarke At Home Support client Paolo Giuca, of Preston, Melbourne, spends plenty of time in the garden – and distributing its bounty to friends and neighbours.
Paolo, who turned 100 in January, has spent more than 30 years creating his urban oasis which is bursting with basil, peppers, citrus fruits and prickly pear.
Born in Italy in 1918, he moved to Melbourne after the end of World War II and lived at Hawthorn, raising children Sandra and Vincenzo, before moving to his current home 35 years ago.
These days he lives alone and receives twice weekly medication support from Bolton Clarke’s At Home Support team.
He enjoys tending his garden and loves his twice weekly Italian Club visits.
Paolo is among members of Bolton Clarke’s Centenarian Club, celebrating our centenarian clients and residents living at home and in our residential and retirement communities around Australia.
