Dr Rajna Ogrin

Senior Research Fellow

Rajna Ogrin NEW.jpgRajna is a Senior Research Fellow at Bolton Clarke. Initially trained as a clinical podiatrist, Rajna completed a PhD, and then post-doctoral studies in Canada with a focus on improving the implementation of evidence into practice. Her subject matter expertise includes interprofessional person-centred collaborative care for chronic disease assessment, diagnosis and management (with particular focus on chronic wounds and diabetes), implementation of evidence-based practice, loneliness and social isolation. Research expertise includes developing and managing clinical trials (pragmatic and RCTs), implementation science, incorporating codesign with multiple stakeholders, and program evaluation, using quantitative and qualitative research methods and involving structurally disadvantaged populations.

Rajna has published >45 papers, and presented >80 national/international conferences, and been awarded almost $14 million in competitive funding. She contributes to building research capacity through supervising higher degree research students, peer review and mentoring. Rajna is currently the President of the Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia, an Associate Editor of the Australasian Journal of Ageing, and Chair of the Wound Course advisory group at Monash University.

Podiatry, Chronic Disease with special interest in Diabetes and wounds, Implementation Science, Codesign, Interprofessional Collaborative Care, Loneliness and social isolation - holistic wellbeing through community-wide interventions.
